Movement
Common Ground initiated a new process with dancer Philippa Donnellan to deepen working collaborations and networks across the community. Since May 2021, Philippa Donnellan connected with a group of older women through the Family Resource Centre. Through Covid restrictions they began to meet outdoors at the People’s Pavillion in IMMA.
The group grew to 15 local people, men and women and they continued to connect through movement from 2022 into 2023.
The development of the Movement project and what the project meant to the group was documented in 2023 by Lore Films. The film – I Love Dancin’ – is available to watch on our website and on our Vimeo page.
This new initiative was originally resourced though the Arts Council Capacity Building Funding.
