On Friday September 17th studio 468 will open to the public for Culture Night 2021 from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.

Artist in residence, Kate O’Shea invites the public to respond to questions about housing and rapid development across Dublin 8 in studio 468. Half Way to Falling is a collection of collaborative printworks, sculptural works, film, and responses by The Just City Collective, formed online in March 2020.

This work, installed in studio 468, represents collective energy and is immersive in nature. Kate has created Half Way to Falling with community workers, artists, activists & researchers while in studio 468 and online due to Covid-19 restrictions since 2020. A highly skilled artist/organiser, Kate O’Shea was awarded Common Ground’s the Just City – Counter Narrative Neighbourhood Residency Award in March 2020 for her project titled ‘HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?’ She will continue to be based at studio 468 until March 2022.

Only 3 people at a time will gain entry into studio 468 during the following times: 5.30 – 6pm /6.10 – 6.30pm / 6.40 – 7pm / 7.10 – 7.30pm /7.40 – 8pm /8.10 – 8.30pm / 8.40 – 9pm / 9.10 – 9.30pm
