Kang Hyun Ahn was awarded the residency in studio 468 in 2006. One of the projects she created was called ‘Hello to all my new neighbours’ which involved making an Irish dancing costume using pages from books donated by people living in the Rialto area. During her residency she worked with Rialto Day Care Centre, Rialto Youth Project, and on the Bury My Heart Festival with a group of young people from the former Fatima Mansions.

Kang Hyun Ahn studied Sculpture at Seoul National University before completing an MA at Slade School of Fine Art, London. She was included in the prestigious “Bloomberg New Contemporaries” exhibition in 2004. She exhibited her work ‘Hell to all my new Neighbours’ from Dublin in the ‘Korean Young Artists 2006’ in Seoul, Korea.
