Mapping Green Dublin
Mapping Green Dublin began as an action research project in 2019, led by UCD School of Geography in collaboration with Common Ground, artist Seoidín O’Sullivan.
The research (funded by the EPA) focused on a particular community, in Dublin 8 and the team worked with non-academic partners, local residents and other stakeholders to identify their local greening needs and to co-create a community greening strategy.
Mapping Green Dublin’s research responds to recent research by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Health Service Executive (HSE) that has highlighted the importance of green space and urban greening on health and wellbeing.
Strategic Pathways to Community-led Greening – the final report of the Mapping Green Dublin project was launched on June 10th 2021.
